Work on the course
The electric company will commence work on the pylon between the 16th & 3rd fairways next week (from Monday 14th March) having completed the 11th Pylon.
A compound fence will be erected around the pylon and they will commence work by draining the water out to enable them to access the footings. When they have inspected the footings they may have to replace, reinforce or treat for corrosion.
A fence has been erected from the end of the driving range along the 18th fairway just before the 17th tee - vehicle movements will be kept to a minimum but the contractors will have priority over golfers on the course as the greenkeepers have priority.
They will cross just in front of the 17th tee, through the gap in the tees under the wires and over the 16th fairway to the pylon.
Work will only take place during weekdays and when they are on site tees on the 3rd and 16th may be moved forward to minimise the risk of ball strikes.
